Today I had both of my boys done. Everything went well with the neuters. (Yaaay) And they’re both eating fine now. I was a little unsatisfied with the after care instructions that the vet tech gave me. The only thing that she covered was how to administer the medicine (which I already knew how to do). I’m going to keep them separate for at least the next month, then I’ll try to reintroduce.
I was just wondering if there were any other after care recommendations anyone could make for me. Should I keep them caged? Or can I let them out for a bit?
I’m not sure what kind of stitches she used bit she said there is no need for a follow up appointment if that helps at all.
        Any advice would be appreciated.

Why would you keep them separate if they are already bonded – you do not need to do that.

I would keep them together as long as they are still fine together and keep them caged for just a few days to heal.

They aren’t bonded. I used to keep them together but they started fighting. I don’t want them to hurt each other while they’re healing.

Okay, I understand – I thought they were bonded. How are they today?

They’re great! Thanks. Both are eating. They’re just a little less active than usual but I guess that’s from the medicine.

I believe they just told us to monitor the incision point to make sure it didn’t get infected, and to give them their meds 1x per day for 2 days. Our boys were pretty bonded, but we did separate Boo after his procedure, because Baxter loves to chase him….and we thought that might hurt.

                    Our pairs look like twins.
I’m going to keep them separate for the next few weeks and then try bonding them. Really miss seeing them play and cuddle together.
