Hey there! I have an adult male rabbit and he’s unneutered. He’s been on my bed once and on my ex, Wes’s bed (I live with him) once. He seems to enjoy being with us but he peed on my bed… I figured since he did it on my bed he wouldn’t do it again but I went to nap and left him with Wes… Apparently he peed on Wes’s bed as well.

I really don’t want to get him neutered, since it’s expensive and I have a bit of a problem with neutering male animals. Why is he doing this? Will he be doing this forever? Is there a way I can train him not to?

He poops in his litter pan and I know he’s peed in it at least once so he seems well-trained, I just hope he’s not doing it because he has an infection or is scared..

He’s doing it to mark his territory, the best solutions are to get him neutered or don’t put him on the bed.

well like I said I would really like to avoid having him neutered… Maybe I’ll keep him from being on the bed, he doesn’t pee on the couch or chairs so I guess that’s ok…

Rabbits pee on beds quite often because they smell so strongly. It’s a way to mark his territory and make his presence known on that piece of furniture. It’s not uncommon. Neutering would help, but if you don’t want to do that simply keep him off the bed. He’ll keep doing it until the bed is his territory.

Thanks, I’ll just keep him off my bed from now on Luckily he doesn’t seem to know how to get on and off of surfaces (probably due to his bad eyesight) so I can choose whether or not he goes on the bed… If he wants to lie down somewhere soft I’ll just put him on the settee or something since he doesn’t pee there.
