I was thinking about clipping my bunny’s nails soon. They are getting quite uncomfortable when she hops on me. I only got her about a month ago so I’m not sure if I should wait a little bit longer until she fully trusts me or just go for it. Also, I don’t know how to flip her onto her back without injuring herself or me

it helps if there is someone to help you…i have my boyfriend hold him gently but FIRMLY so Caleb can’t flip over and doesn’t get hurt. Also to help get the fur out of the way I use woman’s stockings and push the nails through (it doesn’t hurt the bunny) so you can see the nail without all that fur in the way. only put one nail through at a time so push the nail through, clip and then repeat.

You’re welcome glad I could help out. Also I use a light so I can shine it through the nail so I know EXACTLY where the quick is so I don’t go too far.

No problem it def helps having 2 people, sometime my boyfriend won’t hold Caleb tight enough so I have to remind him to hold him so that nothing bad happens. Don’t be afraid to keep reminding your boyfriend “make sure you hold him tight enough so that he won’t move” (you don’t want to accidentally hit the quick. Make sure you have some quick stopper-to stop bleeding in case you hit the quick)
