I was just sitting on my bed when I hears my 12 week old baby bunny bolt around. I looked and she was at the other end of her cage twitching her head to the side. It wasn’t the usual head movement she makes when she is excited. She was breathing really heavy and not moving from her spot for a while. Then she started moving but thumping her foot. What the heck just happened I am really worried.

What do you mean by twitching? Wooly does this half-binky thing where he jerks his head.

Yeah it was more jerky than a Binky though. Like just twitching her head for a few seconds

My buns will often do a head jerk before a binky, sometimes without the binky, when they are excited. I call it a “head binky”.

I’d say just keep an eye on her and see if there is any other strange head behaviors.

I knew it wasn’t a binky at all for sure. I know what her head binkies look like and she was doing it more seizer like and only to one side

I would just keep an eye and if there is a repeat episode, a vet check is probably in order.
