I would get her into a rabbit savvy vet as soon as possible, today if you can. She may be nesting if she is pregnant, or having a false pregnancy if she isn’t spayed. Either way, you seem very worried and very upset.

We are not vets on Binkybunny and legally cannot diagnose or advise medical treatment online.

We will not be able to offer any additional info beyond, take her to your vet ASAP.

      • thank you ill have to sing her up for a vet apount ment and i only have one bunny and thats her to its a fals pregnancy

      • i gess ill be right back to take her to the vet

Okay. If she’s never been around a male rabbit within the last 30-35 days, then yes, it sounds like a false pregnancy.

I still recommend you take her into the vet to have her examined. I’m not sure how much fur-pulling is “normal” in a false pregnancy, and if she has truly pulled an extraordinary amount, it’s smart to have a vet look at her.

The vet will also be able to give you information regarding spaying. If you do not get her spayed, the false pregnancy cycles will continue to occur. And she is at high risk for developing uterine cancer by the age of 3-4.

            You are very welcome.

Please keep us updated as to what the vet says. You can update directly in this thread.

I urge you to get her examined by a vet right away. Even if she has stopped the behavior, the red, exposed skin may be sore or open to infection. You have several reasons to have her get an immediate check up by a vet and get yourselves established with one.

If you need help locating a good one, for exotics (aka rabbits) then check out the pinned post at the top of the Q&A forum to find one near you.

Besides false pregnancy (it does sound like this) it might be because if pain. Sometimes a rabbit in a lot of pain will start to chew off their fur. She really must see a vet.
It’s really odd for her to be eating the fur. What is her diet like?
