i haven’t posted on here for awhile and now i have two questions

        question one

as i have said in my earlier posts we got benji in January and we had to neuter him it took us awhile but we finally got him to be with mischief without trying to mount him and we have now put both of them outside in their new hutch my dad just built. benji was fine he would come up to you whenever he saw you and would try climb on you for attention but about 3 day ago i was sat in the shed where their hutch is and i had let them out and benji was running around like normal but then he came up to my shoe and started scratching it then he bit it until i moved my foot away  then he ran off i just thought it was a one off but he came back and did it again. i was sat outside with them in the run just now and benji ran over to me and demanded attention again which of course i gave him but then he started biting and scratching at any bit of clothing i had on. can anyone tell me why he goes from a nice lover able rabbit to biting everything on me?

        question two

also in my other posts ive said that mischief has been losing weight and i took him to the vet and at the last appointment the vet told me that he hadn’t lost any weight from the last visit and as long has he hasn’t lost any more weight and is eating normally he was fine to just let mischief gain weight. right that was about march/April i think, the hutch we put them in has four levels, space for them to run inside the shed and a big run outside, when we put them in mischief basically stayed on the third and fourth level and didnt come down so we had to keep moving him. he now stays on the bottom level as we moved the food bowl onto the bottom level and left the water bottle on the third to make him move, he has started to go outside on his own and when we put the food out for them he basically eats it as soon as its out but he doesn’t seem to be gaining any weight at all he just seems to be sitting around and letting benji jump over him or using him as a round about. i was thinking about taking him back to the vet because he just doesn’t seem bothered with anything and going from a hyper rabbit to a cant be bothered rabbit has me worried. does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong or is it just me?

sorry for the long story for two questions  and thanks for any help

I wouldn’t worry about the nipping at you. It’s usually a sing of wanting to play, or get your attention, or trying to get you to move out of the way, or a way of saying “i’m done, you can leave now.” Bunnies often communicate with their teeth, and as they get older they can control it so they don’t really bite and don’t cause any harm.

As for two, it sounds like fairly normal maturity. When a bunny ages after passing through the teens, especially if neutered, he can mellow out a lot.
The signs to watch for are loss of appetite along with the lethargy, not pooping normally, sitting in a meatloaf position when not moving while grinding his teeth.
I would get him out with you for some play time and exercise, and if he behaves/eats/poops normally, he’s OK.
