I love my buns and they are my kids but theyre so naughty!

They both live in my room and are free all day but recently they have discovered how delicious duvet covers are and have eaten HUGE holes in 3 of my duvet covers! Its costing me a fortune to keep replacing them!
Is it cruel if I make them both stay in a cage while im not here?
The cage I have for them is roughly 1m long x 0.5m wide and .7m high?

I feel bad leaving them there but theyre far too naughty!

Well, my first question is: are they Eating the duvet, or just creating holes and tears? Because if it’s the latter, then they are making an entrance so they can slither around inside the duvet and it’s like being in a borrow. It’s probably fun and cozy, and they may spend much of their time just sleeping in there.

I like an xpen for daytime confinement, since it’s larger. If you have things like wires, etc. that are not bunny proofed, then you can enclose them while you’re out and let them free as soon as you are home. It doesn’t hurt them if they have enough space in the habitat, but nothing small. bunnies tend to sleep most of the day except for occasional grazing at the food dishes.

They’re creating HUGE holes, quiet cute that it’s for a burrow! What can I do so they an create these burrows somewhere else? I have a box with a towel in it for flin to dig (pebbles isn’t fussed) and a couple of little toys for them to throw around and a big tunnel for cats.

My room isn’t big enough to have an xpen, the cage barely fits in

My room is bunny proofed, no wires or anything for them to get hold of!

Hi there, I must admit I am no bunny expert and have not experienced this problem, but thinking out loud, would it be possible to remove the duvet from the room when you’re not there so the buns can’t nibble on it and hopefully break this cycle?
Good luck finding the cure x

Rather than penning them, can you “pen in” the bed so they can’t access the blankets?

i can make them live in the living room but its cold there and its winter now so not sure what to do!
