My rabbits birthday is coming up on the 15th of may and my sister always buys her a petco gift card. I was going to use it to buy her some bird toys because I have heard bird toys can be used for rabbit toys. Is there any bird toys at petco that are safe for rabbits that people have used for rabbits? thanks

          Hey,
I have used just the general hanging toys. The ones that you can buy that look similar to the ‘treat-k-bobs’ that you can get in the rabbit section in toy stores are okay as far as I know. Buster isn’t a huge fan of it, but he also isn’t a huge fan of anything… haha.
I think the main thing is to not get the ones that are like treats – I’m pretty sure most of them are like corn??
I got him one that is a spinny thing with wood and it’s been chewed on a few times.
          Hope that helps!

The plain bird toys are safe. From what I’ve been told, birds are INCREDIBLY sensitive to any chemicals of the sort, so bird toys cannot have any dangerous properties. I would just avoid anything made from wood that you can’t identify, and ones that have bird food, of course. Just use your judgement about toys – if it looks like it could harm your bun, avoid it!

            Hope it helps!
