Hi everyone. I’ve adopted a bunny about a month ago when she was only 3  months old. I thought that by living with the other 3 bunnies (who loves veggies) Athena will soon learn to eat veggies as well.

She’s 4 months now and refuses to eat any types of veggies , and the only greens she had was a little nibble of wheat grass. I tried offering many types of veggies to Athena but she shows no interest and runs away. When I leave them in a bowl, my other rabbits would rush to eat it, while she sniffs it and just walks away.  Does anyone have any tips on how i can get her to eat her veggies?

        Thank you ,

        Jackie

Really, just keep trying – some rabbits are just more suspicious than others.

Agreed – my three month old would never eat veggies. I literally had to keep poking him in the face with really fragrant herbs before he would try them. And then he only did because he would get annoyed and yank it out of my hand and throw it to the side. Then one time he mustve gotten a bite so then he would come up and sniff and take a bite or two until finally he was addicted.

Sally wouldn’t touch veggies until she was around 5 months old. I sort of tricked her into it. I chopped up some veggies and placed her bowl down. I noticed she was trying really hard to get a few pellets that were on the floor, just out of reach on the outside of her cage so I sprinkled a few pellets into her salad hoping she would accidenty bite a veggie while foraging for the pellets and realize how tasty they were! And she did she now LOVES her veggies.
