my bun is really great at going pee in his litter box! I haven’t had to clean up pee puddles in sooo long, but I feel like i’m constantly cleaning up poops. He doesn’t spray… at least not that I know of. Why won’t he poop in his litter box?

Well neutering is going to help – it’s partly that and his age.

Have you recently brought him home? When I got Buster he was ‘litter trained’ within like 2 hours, but he still went poo frequently out of his litter box. However, most of the poops were in the litter box – most consider this litter trained. What he was doing was marking his territory, and after about a week he started mostly only going in his box.
            Hope that helps

This exact same thing happened to me for the first 3 days that I had my bunny. She peed in her litter box as soon as I put it in there, but she pooped EVERYWHERE! And I mean, everywhere. After a lot of research, I discovered that rabbits sometimes poop on things to mark their territory. There was nothing I could really do, so every time she pooped somewhere, or I saw that she was about to poop, I just put her in the litter box. She was very stubborn at first, but then one day I took her out and she just stopped pooping places, and she went directly to her litter box when she had to go.

When I first got my bun home he had the same problem. I had him litter trained within a day or so, but it seemed like his poo is non stop. As of right now (3 weeks of having him!) he pees everytime in his litter box but some little poos still get lost on there way there ( maybe 3 or four a day he wont get in his box).
Every time I clean his box i put a couple of his poos in the clean one to remind him, and it seems to help!

I’ve only had my buns 3 weeks, Suri is perfectly litter trained but Buttons poops everywhere, I’m sure it’s territorial though, it should settle down after spaying.
