I live in South Africa and its getting into winter. Therefore the weather is changing and one day it is hot, the next freezing.

Ive noticed Flin has started making a weird grunting sneezing noise? Now today I noticed that she had a little blob of beigey snot on her nose? What can I do? Should I take her to the vet? (Need to learn not to run there with every little problem!)

Flin is a house bunny and lives in my bedroom with me and her sister, Pebbles.

I have no scented air fresheners and only use a vacuum to clean the floor. Her litter box has normal grey cat litter, other than that theres not much else I can think of incase it is allergies.

Nasal Discharge, especially coloured nasal discharge means a trip to the vet. You will most likely need antibiotics. Also rethink the grey cat litter unless its under a screen. Hay and newspaper works fine for litter and less chance of it being ingested or causing respiratory problems from dust.

Bunnies don’t get viral colds like people, so nasal discharge is generally bacterial and requires antibiotics. Definitely time for the vet.

Go to the vet…. If you leave it longer it can get worse, if you go now and start treatment early you will save yourself some expense and your bunny discomfort and suffering.
