         hello everyone!

I haven’t been on binky bunny for such a long time, but i had to come on today! I was petting Buffy and giving her some treats when I noticed 2 bumps on each side of her body( one on each side). I noticed a bump on her body a while back but decided that it was normal, which i shouldn’t have.. I researched a little and someone said to look at it and i did. and when i did, it was like a big pimple- both of the bumps! before, ift was just one but now there TWO BIG PIMPLES! She has been sneezing a lot and having sneezing fits for about 6 months, and I went to the vet to check up on that, they gave us antibiotics and it helped for a while but it started again but our family is on a tight budget and I feel so guilty and bad for Buffy!

I have nooooooooooooo clue what to do!!!! I have decided to call my vet tomorrow since they’re closed now, but im sure it’ll take us a month to go to the vet and pay for that appointment if you guys want, i can take a picture of the bumps to help figure out what to do but untill then can you guys help please? im desperate! thanks and I hope she gets bettter <3

          Hi Buffybunlover
Where abouts on her body are these lumps?

Does your vet do payment plans at all? Have you ever looked into CareCredit? That may help a lot.

Also, VPI does insurance that covers rabbits.

Are they pimple-like? More wart-like? Just a mound? Solid? Squishy? Maybe you could post a pic.

Like Jersey suggested, perhaps your vet would do a payment plan. Or you could ask them if they have a “follow-up” visit charge (usually cheaper that the initial visit charge) since you were there recently. You could take her to have the vet look at her sneezing again and then bring up the bumps during the visit.

Good thinking LBJ!! Follow up appointment would be a good option.

                 hello again!

I’m not sure how to describe it so I took a pic

the pimple/wart looks like it has puss in it or something, not sure..

I couldn’t call today becuase they had some sort of holiday but im for sure calling tommorow and telling them the story! the pimple is on each side of her body near the tummy i guess and you can feel it when you pet her.

That is the pimple! its quite small and seems to be filled with puss.

I can’t really tell from the picture. And I, like you, am new, so I don’t want to be violating any rules. I just thought it might be helpful to know that rabbits often get abscesses, much more so than other mammals. The pus builds up behind the skin, eventually the skin will die and break away and the hard puss will be there. These definitely call for a vet and antibiotics in my book. Some abscesses are relativvely harmless — resulting from a play-bite among bunnies or some other injury where there was a cut; but I believe therre are also some serious infectious diseases that can do a rabbit major damage which first show up as abscesses. I would definitely do what you could to get the bun to the vet.

If they’re on her underside and in the same position on opposite sides of her body, it might be her nipples. You can check for more sets down her tummy.
If small abscess, growth or nipples, if they feel like filled with puss, be good idea to have them looked at and her sneezing rechecked.

On her sides, near her tummy. Are you rolling the skin upward in the pic? Are you sure that isn’t a nipple?

EDIT: LOL, Jersey it looks like we had the same thought at the same time!

Ditto here… Looks like a nipple to me as well, especially if they are in the same places on each side. They can get infected but it doesn’t look red or swollen. If you get the follow up visit for the sneezing you can have the vet take a look.
