Lilly’s eye started looking awful yesterday. Its red around it and looks to be all wet. We are really worried.

Has anyone seen anything like this? Should we take her to the vet?

Oh, jeez! With redness and that much discharge, I would definitely call the vet.

Yes definitely go to vet. They can do test to see if its scratched or something. My little girl has a scratched eye that has come down to conclusion of allergies that made her itch her eye and inadvertently scratch it. Then it got infected (while treating) and spread to other eye. So I say with the eyes, any difference is bad and don’t hesitate to call vet to calm your worries.

            PS. Hello fellow Michigander!

Yeah, we are nervous about it for sure. We are going to call 1st thing in the morning and try to get her into the vet.

And hello! Haha glad the weather’s improving?

I am glad the weather’s improving. It was really nice today. Were you able to get Lily in to the vet?

It could be pink eye. My bunny had it and it made me SOOO sad because it looked really bad. The worse it gets, the more hair your bun may lose around the eye. I used triple antibiotic ointment on the eye and it was back to normal in a few days. And a Lott of praying of course! I’m such a sap mom! :p

I am glad you are going to the vet!

Did you make an appointment with the vet?

Yes! We have her an appointment for this week. But, it does seem to be improving. Much less drainage and its not red anymore. There are some crusties around it still though. I hope it gets better!
