Forum HABITATS AND TOYS Should bunnies have a nightlight in their room?

        I am not sure if bunnies can see in the dark. I wonder if they need a nightlight so that they can see their food and litter boxes at night.

          If you think about it, wild bunnies spend most of their life down a hole, and if they couldn’t see in the dark there’d be a lot of bruised and bumped bunnies  . So yes they can see in the dark.

              Mine don’t but they get plenty of light from the outside lights around the outside so it’s not pitch black.

                We have a night light. We started to use it because Munch is free-range in the house and we didn’t want to accidentally step on the little guy.

                  Squirrel has a nightlight, but he’s deaf.. and gets scared if he sees us come out of the shadows. SO, he gets a little light so he doesn’t get scared every time its dark and we walk by
