So Kaiser has circled me quite a few times, and it’s been three months since I’ve had him neutered, shouldn’t he have stopped? I mean he isn’t spaying, or honking, but every source of information I found says it’s hormonal behavior, or just briefly summarize what it looks like.

I’m a little more curious then concerned, I mean before he was neutered the only hormonal behavior he would do was circling. Maybe I’m just fretting over nothing  I think it’s cute behavior anyways, as long as it’s just circling my feet and not frustration.

Does he still have some hormones left over? Or is he just being silly, and in some weird way, telling me he loves me? Maybe he’s trying to play I’m not too sure…

        Any feedback would be appreciated!

I don’t think you have anything to worry about. I’ve read that sometimes it just means they are happy to see you or want to play like you said… and some do it thinking they will get treats haha! As long as he doesn’t start humping leg, it should be fine. And isn’t it the cutest thing when they do that? Does yours do figure 8’s in between your legs? Also try standing close to another person with your feet nearly touching and facing each other, and see what your bunny does. =D

Oh Harley still does this. Especially when I am carrying his carrot bowl stuffed with veggies he gets so excited lol.
He will also do it randomly and i just bend down and start petting him and he flops over enjoying it so I’ve come to think he was just wanting some attention . I also find it cute! Unless you are trying to go somewhere and it gets hard to walk lol!

Not necessarily – my rabbit Bobby who is about 3 years old still circles – I think alot of it is that rabbits usually run from side to side rather than in a straight line too. I have to be careful because he does get underfoot.

Phew! I’m glad it means he’s just happy, and not frustrated or something silly Thanks!!

Ha! Sometimes I run little circles around him too, and he gets so happy from that! So much binking to follow. No figure eights though!

We had a female rabbit who circled us when she was happy and feeling lovey. Munch does it to me now when I am cutting his little circle of banana in the morning.

Oh yea both my rabbits do this years after being neutered. When I play with either of them or pet or brush them a lot they always tend to get a little frisky. Just old instincts kicking in again I guess. To Winston’s dismay Max still insists on mounting him from time to time but it is all in good fun

My neutered male does this occasionally. He was neutered at 5 months and is 4 years old now. He mostly does it to his bonded friend (she always seems confused), but he has done it to me a few times while honking softly. I think it just means he loves you 🙂
