Hi this is my first post here!

mainly I am a little worried because my bunny has a crusted shut eye with a little hair missing on his ear and at the base. I first noticed it yesterday, but his eye was only red around the rim and looked a little watery, but was open. I doubt that he and his cagemate, a guinea pig, could have been fighting, because they get along we’ll and the guinea pig gets anxious when he’s not in the cage with her, which is Bout 8 square feet, that’s big enough right? His behavior is pretty normal and he is exploring as usual.

thanks to anyone who can help!

I think it definitely merits a trip to the vet to have his eye checked out. It could be scratched and I’m sure it hurts.

I just got a better look at his eye, it is open now and I realize half of it is grey, looks similar to how a cataract looks, is this a bacterial infection?

I’m not sure, but what I do think is that you should get a vets appointment as soon as possible, rabbits hide illness and pain very well and only show symptoms when they are very ill. This sounds serious and painful. If you put off the vets appointment it would probably end up costing you a lot more and being more stressful for your bun.
