Oh jeez! I’m not sure what it could be, but I’m glad you’re planning to take her to the vet. i hope things go well!

If I can remember correctly, I’m sure that lump on his head is cancer, some lion heads can be prone to it.

Not sure if it is, But lumps are known to be a indication of cancer.

Edit: http://bunnymama.com/care/CancerGracie.aspx does the lump look similar that that?

I wouldn’t worry too much. It could be any number of things. If it’s still there, a vet check is probably a good idea. Best of luck!

I agree with LPT, many possibilities from a bite, a small abscess, a benign tumor even a small cyst. It could even be an ingrown hair or a mildly infected wound… Vet Yes but don’t start writing the eulogy just yet. Even cancerous growths can be removed with no residual effect.

Does the lump feel there’s liquid inside of it? It’s good that you noticed the lump and if it’s small right now, you should get it checked out before it becomes a problem. My bun had an abscess (sack of pus) on her forehead and it grew quite big. Our vet removed it without having to do surgery and she was on medication for 2 weeks, but she is all better now. It started out as an infection under her skin (maybe another rabbit scratched her), but we didn’t know, otherwise we would have gone straight to the vet after bringing her home.

Hm, it doesn’t hurt to schedule an appointment to get it looked at. Keep us updated on what you find out.

hmmm…never had a bunny with a hematoma. My horse had one and it took a couple of weeks to go away.

YAY!!!! That’s wonderful to hear, thanks for the update. Did it just go away on its own or did she need antibiotics/meds?
