Hi, I am new here.  I was not even aware of bunny forums.

My daughter has a 2 year old lion head bun.  She is normally sweet, playful and loves to be carried around.

The bunny and I have a morning routine (since I am the first to wake up).  I take the blanket off the side of the cage and she is usually on her hind legs hanging onto the door so she can get out and hop.  AS soon as I open the door she hops right on out and plays on the rug.

This morning she just sat in her litter box – she doesn’t potty in it.  I opened the gate and she did not act interested.  She ate a bit of lettuce and she has been drinking and eating.  She is moving in her cage a bit but not being herself.  We gave her more hay and she is eating it.

Is there anything wrong?  She has never acted like this.  She is usually very eager to get out of her cage and while we are are home she freely hops in and out and plays.

Please let me know.  I am open to any suggestions.

She is also tolerating being picked up so she does not seem to hurt anywhere.

Could she be mad at you about something? In the two months I’ve had him, my bunny has had two pouting sessions that lasted the entire night. The first time he did it I thought something was seriously wrong as he wouldn’t come out of his cage and was just flopping around and turning his back to me when I tried to talk him out. I had no idea any animal could stay upset for so long.
