I have had him 2 weeks now and he is very sweet and loving but he will just sit in one spot for a long time until i put him on my bed or in his play pen outside then he moves and digs. He flops over when hes relaxed and everything. ButI would like for him to be more active. He has some toys but doesnt pay much attention to them. Do any of you recommend a certain successful bunny toy store bought or homemade? both would be great! Also any activities I can do wuth him? i have considered clicker training but i dont think he will do much. please any ideas would help?!

Would getting him a friend help?

Clicker train him! It’ll be fun for the both of you. I know Bean gets terribly bored on the days when I’m too busy with school to do a session with him. After I end a quick clicker session with him, he always binkies a little to show how happy he is.

Also, my friends and I have had a lot of success with baby stacking cups as toys for our bunnies.
Here is Bean throwing cups in this link:

Some bunnies are just more chill and relaxed than others. Foo’s favorite activity is chasing her blankie. We dangle it from something and she will run at it like a bull. She also enjoys throwing around her wicker ball, and playing with plastic cups. She takes great joy in rearranging her home as well, even during out of cage time, she’ll play interior decorator. If she’s really just chilling when she’s out, if we just get down on the floor with her, that often is enough to get her more active. She’ll run over for pets or run around us and climb on us.

Also, I try to give my bunnies the most time out during dawn and dusk, when it will be most appreciated. They tend to be WAY more playful. I agree with HotGin, clicker training is a very good idea for the more “chill” buns.

Thank you….I will try clicker training but he does not take interest in toys at all. I have tried many and he wont pick them up or anything. But what is the best first step in clicker training?

What an adorable little fluff ball!!

I think clicker training could be great for him. One of mine is very lazy and is much more active and engaged when we’re doing training.

                                  What is clicker training please?

Oh my goodness! Look at that gorgeous mane!

He looks really pampered and well taken care of!

Does he love treats? Have you tried hiding them in homemade toys? (cardboard rolls, etc.) Or do you have a treat dispenser ball? Maybe if there’s food involved he’ll be more inclined

I know Kaiser is picky with what he plays with, and in the end his favorite toy is an emptied and cleaned out water bottle with coffee beans inside (to make noise, not for eating of course!). He just tosses it around, and I think he does it now to wake me up especially
