Sometimes bunnies just take a liking to something. They may never do something and then all of a sudden they figure out that it’s fun and then they want to do it all the time.

I would recommend that you cover the baseboards. You can either attach a 2×4 like you said and let her chew to her heart’s content, or use NIC grids to block that space with a 2×4 used as a “buffer”. She’d still be able to nip the 2×4 a little bit through the grid, but she might get frustrated not having full access and give up. The other option if you don’t want wood at all is to lay down bricks as your buffer behind the NIC grids.

Yes, I agree with beka27, my bun gets obsessed with something as soon as she finds out she likes it. She still hasn’t found out she can jump out of her run yet…

Is she moulting? They’ll sometimes become out of sorts when moulting and I think it’s about 1 year old that they many have the first big moult. That 1st one is usually the worst.

Good to hear the apple sticks are now appealing. They like to keep us guessing!

Ditto, Jersey. My bunnies tend to get very cranky during molting. Some bunnies gets stressed/agitated.
