This morning I had a paper plate with some cold pepperoni pizza on it and Peanut stole a piece and ran into her cage with it. She was eating the pepperoni, I stopped her before she ate much more then a couple of bites. should I be worried?

I did look online and can’t find anything. I do no rabbits are vegetarians. I would call your vet and ask them. Make sure next time to not leave food where bunny can reach. They can be sneaky rascals.

Thane has stolen chocolate on me before, the brat! I don’t know what it is, but he has a serious sweet tooth!

She seems to be doing fine, acting normal. and my vet said as long as she didnt eat a bunch of it she should be fine. I normally don’t leave food out, I was just getting a drink from the kitchen and none of my other buns get up on the coffee table. so I didn’t think nothing of it.

Bosse once got a hold on a bag of chips when we were sleeping (a long time ago). We stupidly forgot to put it away from under the table before going to bed. The bag was almost empty already so that was good, he didn’t eat a whole lot. He still ingested a lot of salt and bad stuff so we watched him closely the next few days. He never showed any symptoms of anything so we were lucky!

I hope Peanut is okay! Ian has an odd interest in human food and likes to try to take bites out of our food. So I feel your pain.

LOL, pepperoni huh? That’s a new one. It can’t be any worse than dog food though and I know buns have eaten that with no ill effects. I would just watch and wait. As long as there is still pee and poo I don’t think you need to worry too much.

Lucy is obsessed with cat food and toast. She goes completely insane if you toast bread. She also bullies my brother’s cat away from his from his food dish.

                        How is Peanut today?

My horse once ate a big bite of cold cut sub and was fine. I was worried since it’s a pretty wrong thing for a herbivore to eat.

Barney stole a piece of my cold pepperoni pizza this morning too -.- He looked like he was enjoying it, and had a hurt look in his eyes when i snatched it off him! I undid the grumpy bunny face by plying him with carrot

You lot should ALL be very worried about your buns!!!! They’re a bunch of thieves!!!!! Lol – sorry, I’m just laughing so much, probably shouldn’t, but my bun won’t eat anything new unless I coax him and present it to him several times, so he would never steal any food, Maybe I just have too good an imagination as to what covert operation your buns are planning. A two-pronged attack? Does one bun create a distration and the other goes in for the kill??
I do hope all the buns are okay though, but they have good taste with pepperoni! x

Thane goes NUTS when he smells chocolate. It’s hilarious. I’ll leave a wrapper on the coffee table and I’ll see a pair of little black ears peeking up from behind the table, then eyes and a nose, but before I know it the wrapper is gone and I have to chase him for it.

Heh, buns bodies don’t process meat so well being vegetarian by nature, but they have to occasionally eat a bug or something so a little meat won’t hurt them. I think I read somewhere that herbivore systems take so long to digest meat it can cause health issues if they eat it often. The only issue with pepperoni I would worry about really is an upset tummy from the spiciness, but if she’s fine still no harm no foul. My rabbits go nuts and will steal anything they can, which is why I tend to keep baby gates between them and any food. lol Boyfriend once made the mistake of trying to eat yogurt on the floor with Powder out… he was being climbed the whole time!
