I know that a lot of people use pillows and blankets with their rabbits. I want to give my bun a soft place to lie, as he is quite the flopper. Would giving him a pillow with a case be okay? He doesn’t chew or dig very much.

If it’s ok or not is sth your rabbit will decide. He might hate the pillow and try to get rid of it. Then you’ll know. If the pillowcase is washable, you should be ok.

          =)

Mine have fluffy cushions from K Mart… They never chew them but love sitting perched on the purple or pink heart shaped cushions. The only problem I have is Pepper loves her husbun so much anything he likes she pees on to make sure every one knows Piglet and his possessions are hers. Thankfully you can put the cushions straight in the washing machine.

I agree with bam. I once bought a really plush pet bed thinking the buns would love it and Bindi decided it was only good for peeing on. My buns like fleece blankets, folded up in a nice square to sleep on. I think mine would probably find a pillow too deep and squishy.

I don’t have any soft things for my rabbits – they either pee on them or chew them. They do have carpet in their area and that seems fine for them.

If you want to try something, I’d recommend a small dog or cat bed. You probably don’t want something too squishy like a pillow, but your bunny might like something a little soft. You can also buy fleece by the yard at fabric stores and cut it into the size you need.

My senior Toffee likes to perch on a towel (and pee on it too) but it’s easy to wash – I just fold one of those big towels up in a square for her and when it’s soiled stick it in the wash (with my rabbit washing).

You can get nice bunny size beds and other things from piggiepigpigs I’ve never bought anything from there, but my friend has about 10 things! And all her fur babies love them.
