Does anyone’s rabbit use the cat’s litter box instead of their own? I’ve noticed since Finn has become 100% house rabbit he prefers to use the cats’ boxes in leiu of his own. At first it was just to mark territory (I think), but now he uses only a couple near his own box.

He does look adorable using them <3

I would keep him away from the cat boxes. Cat feces are nasty, and carry quite a lot of germs and other nastys that can cause illness in your rabbit. Not to mention, the clay based litter I see, it can harm your bunny’s respiratory system,a nd clog up little bun tummies if taste tested, which is a normal bunny thing to do.

He does look adorable, but I agree with monkey-bun, clay-based litter is very bad for rabbits. Perhaps you could place the cat boxes someplace where the rabbit can’t access them.

I’ve seen cat boxes set up on a special table before, to avoid other pets getting to them.

The other thing I’ve heard members here mention is their cats getting into the rabbits box and chewing on hay. Lol.
