Dotty has proven to be a very smart bunny.  It took me only 30 mins to train her to use the litter box.

She has always had very good potty behaviors.  When taken out, she would never have accidents.  We could play with her for hours and she’ll be fine.  Once taken back, she’ll then immediately go to her litter box to do her business.  That’s when we realized that she probably was holding it in till she got back.  We’ve tried to be careful in seeing how much times she’s been out so that she can do her business given her wonderful potty habit.

Recently however, she has been pooping outside of her litter box in her pen.  She still does not have accidents outside of her pen, but it almost seems like she regards her entire pen as now her bathroom.  I’m not sure what changed.  She still only pees her in box, but she doesn’t poop there.  I tried to gather up all her poop and place it in her box.  That helped a bit.  She now poops in her pen AND her litter box.  Oy vey..

Also, I’m currently thinking about relocating her living space and changing everything around a little.  I don’t know if her current potty problem is something I should work on fixing now or after she has moved to her new space.

Sorry, I don’t know but how old is she again? Could this be hormones kicking in and she’s marking her pen as her territory?

She is a year and a half I think?  Her date of birth is unknown.  That is how long we’ve had her, and when she was given to us, we were told she was still a baby. She could be two.

Hmm, okay. Has anything else changed in her environment?
