We have a 5 year old lion head lop.  He seems to feel fine.  He is eating fresh veggies right now and drinking plenty.  But recently when I brush him (he is shedding really bad right now) there is some white waxy gunk either on his jaw or just inside his ear.  I know this is gross but the gunk doesn’t smell bad.  He does some scratching but no head tilt.  That side of his jaw just under his ear seems a little bigger than the other. Does anyone have any ideas what it could be? What can I do for him.  He is my 11 year old daughter’s rabbit and he lives in the house.  Please help.

My best advice is to have a vet look at him. From your description it could be anything or it could be nothing but always to be on the safe side it’s a good idea to have a vet do an exam on him. An infection may not necessarily smell and it may not necessarily cause head tilt either.

My bunny had a lot of white pus like stuff coming out of his ear and i took him to the vet and it ended up being an ear infection. He had to go on antibiotic ear drops and i had to clean out his ear twice a day… it could be an ear infection or something teeth related. I would try to take him to a vet that has experience with rabbits! Good luck

Ditto. Could be an ear infection. That much ear gunk is definitely not normal. My lop has chronic infections and there is sometimes a smell with infection, sometimes not. The sooner you get the infection diagnosed (if it is that) the easier it is to treat.
