My aunt got( or should I say randomly thrusted) me two unneutered males for christmas. I love them a lot, dispite her poor choice of matchmaking, and for the first few days they were decent to each other-sometimes cuddling.they even stayed in the ssame cage.however, having expanded territory caused bad blood between the two.even a few fights. i want to use the bonding tecniques I’ve seen and read of,but the thing is,they were always between a male and female.

Do you think its possible to get them bonded? For them to be friends again? I’ve seen it before, I’ve seen them together, but I know two males that aren’t neutered can be tough to handle.and until I get my mom to get the money, they won’t be for a while.

Is it possible? Can they be pals again?

You can successfully bond male/male buns. How badly are your buns fighting? If it’s real bad I would keep them separate until a month after they are fixed. So it gives them time to have their hormones die down. That maybe what is the territorial fights.

There is no true guarantee that they will successfully bond. But given enough time, patience, and lots of stress bonding you should be able to do it. Depending on your buns it can be easy to re-bond your buns or a lot of work.

They’ve bitten each other before, and have had 2 mini brawls.( they pulled fur,and a lot of scrambling around) but only for a second because I’ve seperated them,so nothing too long.

You say its possible to bond two males.but uneutered ones, who were only friends for a short time? They won’t be neutered anytime soon, but I don’t want to wait till then because they would become mortal enemies if I wait too long.

No, it sounds like they won’t be able to be together again until after they are neutered (+ one month for healing and hormones to diminish). It is too risky to put them together at this point. If they fight, one or both can become severely injured. Do not worry about their bond breaking. Their bond has already broken. The hormones are in the way. They should be able to be rebonded at the appropriate time.

Agree with Beka. If they are fighting like that their bond is broken. For their safety keep them separate.
