So all of my rabbits have been itching lately and only one of them will lie still while i check their fur for fleas. Sure enough i found one on Savannah! so i asked my rabbit savvy vet and she said to use advantage multi. so i got it, but i also have to treat my other three buns just in case. Savannah and Louie won’t be a problem because savannah is in another room in my house, and Louie is in a separate cage until he gets fixed so I can bond him with my two in the C & C cage. My problem is treating Linus and Luna. They are a bonded pair in a c & c cage. They can’t be separated at all or they will be very sad. But they are constantly grooming each other! How do I treat them for fleas without them licking the advantage off of each other?

I’m don’t know what the Advantage is like but if anything like Revolution, it shouldn’t be an issue as it absorbs into their skin very fast.

I’d treat with it during their most active time so they’re distracted enough to leave the stuff alone.
So during time they come out to exercise or give them some food to keep them occupied.

i’ve never used advantage either. my dogs use frontline, which i know is bad for buns. i couldn’t find any revolution around where i live. maybe i’ll put it on the solo buns first so i can see how well it absorbs. good tip about doing it doing their most active time, i’ll try that!

You may just want ot keep the pair apart for even 5 or 10 minutes, just to give it a chance to absorb in. Then they can safely be put back together with no worries

I have only heard that revolution was safe for bunnies, I don’t know too much about advantage. when you apply it you will have to separate them for about 30-45 mins for the meds to absorb so they don’t lick it off each other. I have already delt with this with MR. Hopper. and got told the best place to put it is the back of the skull since they cant lick there or between and just behind the ears.
