Hi! I was feeding my rabbits their veggies and today I gave them some baby spinach and a bit of green bell peper and celery tops. When I was washing the veggies I unitentinaly left some water at the bottom of their bowl and the water turned green from the spinach. My rabbit lola was getting some of the leaves at the bottom and her mouth abd part of her nose got in the water and now her mouth is a dark green color! i tryed whiping it off with a rag but she wont let me! what do I do? and I also dont want to put her in a trance because I heard that was bad forvthem! thank you!

i would just wait for it to go away on it’s own. after she eats and drinks for a couple of days, it’ll probably disappear.

She’ll be fine. If the spinach turned the water green than you know it was from a healthy source (she didn’t get into the green paint, for example.) Many bunnies have orange feet from standing in their carrot juice, aka carrots that dripped water, or green lips. She’ll clean herself better than you would be able to, so just leave her to it.

Unless, of course, you want to take pix of her cute greenness and share them with us here.

Valentine gets a green face every now and again. She cleans herself well, though so it goes away. =) Your bunny will be fine.

Nothing to worry about. My white bunny gets a green face from eating wet greens. It wears off eventually.
