I took Bun in today to get neutered and ever since he got home he won’t even look at me. he has been laying under my bed almost the entire time but when I went to lay down next to him, he literally got up and put his back to me and sat back down. will this behavior change, or is just pissed that I did this to him? it’s breaking my heart, we just became super bonded before this

He is probably just sore and wants to be left alone. He’ll come around, just give him some time to mourn the loss of his man bits :p

He may be feeling a little under the weather since he’s just had surgery, but I doubt he’s mad at you. In these next few days, try to restrict his movement so that he can’t jump and possibly tear open the wound, make sure that he is eating/pooping alright, and be sure to give him plenty of love.

I doubt he’s mad at you too — probably just sore. Did your vet send you home with any pain meds to give him? My bun usually perked back up around the time after I gave him a dose of Metacam.

Lots and lots of love!! And healing vibes to your boy! My boy was completely back to normal after alittle over 24-48 hours. So give him time and I’m sure he’ll come back out of his shell soon!

I find often when my buns are unwell, they don’t want to cuddle, they want to be left alone. That’s most likely the situation. I’m sure he will be back to normal when he is recovered. Bunnies are very forgiving.
