I’ve had my bunny for 2 years now and she’s the love of my life, we do agility and I feel like we were pretty close, but recently when I let her out she hides when I come near her. She doens’t really like being held like most rabbits and I respect that, I try not to stare at her because I know that is what predators do, and I try not to be to terribly loud around her. I was just curious if anyone has any ideas of bonding excersizes or other things I could to to help enhance our relationship. Thanks!

Stan is the same way, I set up a sheet and pillows on the floor and just let him sniff around me and come at me on his own, It has helped him alot being able to just do that. Sometimes il be down there for hours but its relaxing watching the buns play!

As you mentioned you do agility, have you ever thought about clicker training??? It is very helpful in establishing a bond between human and bun bun for sure!

Make sure you haven’t changed anything like your scent so she definitely knows it’s you. I’m sure she does, but if you have a new perfume, or done something different to change your silhouette, it may be confusing her at first. I doubt this is the issue, but it’s worth checking.

Then let her explore you again while you just hang out. Perhaps she hasn’t felt as supported under her body and legs lately when you pick her up briefly, and she got a wee bit more nervous. Clicker training is always helpful.
