Apollo moves his litter tray around, and trashes his cage (still has the terrible twos horemones in him!) and he moves his litter tray to the middle of his cage. Anyway, he moved it and lifted his butt in the corner, only to somehow miss-fire and it landed on the plastic bottom of his cage. He must have realised he made a mistake, because he then moved his litter tray and covered up the puddle. It came to cleaning time, I picked his litter tray up and noticed what he’d done. Except, his pee was a very very pale shade of yellow, and cloudy. Is this normal? I don’t know what to do?!

I think it sounds normal to me, I know bunnies can have orange/reddish urine normally, Dutchess does. Perhaps a more experienced member/leader can back me up?

A little bit of cloudiness is nothing to worry about… Its not unusual especially if they have had some high calcium treats. If it persists and becomes sludgy then you may need to alter his diet for a while and get a check up at the vet. There is a new bunny specialist called Karen at Doubleview who is very good.
Have a look at the health section regarding “sludge” its a build up of sediment in the bladder.

Should I cut back on the parsley then? I gave him a little bit of that today?

I wouldn’t think a little parsley would cause it… Has he eaten a lot of pellets in the last day or so ? It would have to be a lot of parsley if it was the cause. Mine eat stacks of parsley, always have and it doesn’t seem to cause a problem.

Hmm yes maybe? I keep telling my mum to stop giving him pellets in the morning!

Yes… If he has been having extra pellets that could definitely be the cause.
