So Bunny has recently started to go crazy. what I was told was a girl is, in fact, a boy. he has started chewing everything and now loves to jump up on my bed and pee and poop as much as possible. I’ve had him for about 3 months now and he has free range of my room. I have to go out of town tomorrow at 5 and I’ll be back by 5 the next day…should I leave him out or put him in my bathroom (which is abnormally long and would give him plenty of room to run)? if I’m gone for more than 3 hours, he gets on my bed…I thought y’all were crazy talking about the terrible two’s and now I’m going crazy trying to stay one step ahead of this little boy!!!. On Monday he goes to the vet to discuss fixing this, no pun intended.

When you say your room, I assume you mean someone can check on him. Does he not have a cage or a condo at all? What about putting up an exercise pen for him?

I would definitely get an xpen to confine him when he can’t be supervised. It sounds like he’s not quite ready for free range yet. You are setting him up for bad behavior later on by not giving boundaries now. The best candidates for free range are rabbits who are over 1-2 years old and have been neutered, and even then, not all rabbits can be free range 24/7.

This makes me feel like I made a mistake by letting my bunny be pretty much free range. I have a bunny room, but Enzo is usually with us most of the day in most of the house! His appt to get fixed is next week! I have not been so stern with litter training because of the fact that he wasn’t fixed and I thought there was no point in really doing it if he was going to still be a crazy bunny! Ahhh!!! Sorry for just jumping in on your topic!

Definitely confinement of some sort. For his own safety if nothing else….They are like toddlers and will find the safety hazards you missed in the blink of an eye.

I would confine him to a pen. The bathroom could be ok if you don’t have a pen, but there are always baseboard and cabinets to chew in a bathroom
