When Winnie is about to fall asleep, she always flops on her side. Today during living room play time, she went behind our coat rack, sat for a few minutes, then flopped on her side for about 30 sec or so, and repeated 7 or 8 times! Has this happened to anyone else?? It was the only time I’ve seen her flop multiple times and the only time she has done it during play time.

My little girl is not one to flop really while playtime. She does it every once in a while. But she loves to flop in her cage. The new foster bun, however, he’s a massive flopper. He’ll tire himself out from zooming around his pen and his play area before going behind his pen to flop. Normally flopping is a sign of comfortableness. So it seems like Winnie is pretty comfortable with you. =]

My buns are exactly the same, they flop in their cages all day long, but when it comes to playtime it’s very rare to see them do it. I was surprised when she just kept doing it over and over again haha I have to admit it was pretty funny to watch. I’m glad she was comfortable, but I want her to feel comfortable all the time when she’s out, do you have any suggestions for things I can put around the living room to help her feel more at ease? Thanks

I have a separate set of toys for Skipper when she’s playing outside of her cage. But I do make sure to take her stuffies (a stuffed hedgehog, and a baby jingle pig and cow) out and place them around the house. It makes her happy to see them out and having play time with her. I, also, make sure to take the time to have a session of hand feeding time. The stronger the bond you have a rabbit the more at ease they tend to become. =]
