Hello, I’m due to get 2 eight week old rabbits soon – a boy and a girl.

The breeder has clearly stated they are for pet homes only, that’s not a problem but I am seriously considering taking on a third baby (the same age) from a different breeder who aims to produce bunnies for the show table.

I think showing would be great fun and maybe if the third bunny was very successful I would have a litter from him/her.

I would like my third bunny to be a boy as I’ve kept rabbits before and find them usually to be the more affectionate.

However, I know 2 boys often don’t get along.

If I bought 2 boys and 1 girl, at the same time, of the same age and I neutered the girl and one of the boys leaving the show bunny entire in case I decided to breed from him, would they get along okay….?

        Hope you can help!

        Many thanks

Welcome. First of all, we prohibit any posts about intentional breeding and we recommend spaying and neutering all rabbits.

As for bonding – a true bond can only happen if you do spay and neuter your rabbits and there are not guarantee’s that litter mates will be friends once they reach sexual maturity.
