I would love to be able to let my bunnies have free range but at the moment it is just not possible and since I will be going back to uni next month I was thinking of adding an x-pen to their cage so the have some more room but I’m worried about them hurting themselves if they try to escape from the x-pen. Are they fairly safe if attached properly?

The cage + excercise pen is a great arrangement, one that is pretty popular with the members here. Yes, they are fairly safe with secure attachment and as long as the pen is tall enough that the rabbits can’t jump out; we recommend at least 36 inches.

I love the idea of a cage/exercise pen. I really wish we could leave ours out in the set-up we have for them (bunny condo with bunny play area around) but my Tans are WAY to crazy still to let them have that much free space in the house!
