So, I didn’t know to put this in the bonding or behavior forum, but I’ve noticed lately that Duchess has been mounting Nala, Nala doesn’t seem to mind it. And since this is my first bonded pair, and I wasn’t the one who bonded them (They were already bonded when brought into the shelter.) I’m not sure if I should stop them or not? They don’t get into a fight or anything, but as I’ve said, I’ve never seen Duchess do this, so I’m a bit confused about it.

Something in the environment may have triggered this, making Duchess feel the urge to reassert herself. If they aren’t fighting, then let them hump things out.

That make’s plenty sense, I’ve been rearranging their cage and play area, and that’s about the time it started, so that may be why, thanks.

Yup, occasionally these behaviors will just randomly spike in a bonded pair. As long as it isn’t leading to scuffles or injury, it should be alright.
