So I decided to try Petco brand paper litter. Has anyone tried this? Does it work well?

The Planet Petco Small Animal Paper Pellet Litter? That’s what my mom uses at home with Remi, and I don’t think she has any problems with it. However, it seems really similar to other paper litter products like Yesterday’s News (non-clumping), another popular litter which I think is actually cheaper, at least by a quick petco.com price comparison.

If you like paper based litter, then it’s just the same. I bought it once instead of our usual Yesterday’s News, since Petco’s was much cheaper, and there was no difference except that Petco has baking soda so there was a scent. I always use unscented litter so I was surprised by such a “strong” smell; I’m sensitive to smell so may not be “strong” to you.

Ok thanks! I had been using yesterday’s news but decided to try the petco brand

I have used the Petco brand paper pellets, and while I liked them, I felt that they didn’t absorb the smells very well. I clean out my litter boxes about every other day so they never get too smelly, but it was still pretty strong when I cleaned it out while using this litter. I prefer the wood stove pellets because they are much cheaper, and hide the bunny smells a lot better.

I use to use the petco brand but found the yesterdays news was cheaper and I got more.

I would strongly suggest Carefresh. I’ve gotten a lot of cheaper things from petco that didn’t work to well.

I put a nice layer of wood stove pellets, without any igniter in it just wood, and cover with timothy hay, you’d be surprised how bunnies like a snack as they go, must be like reading a magazine, lol
