So I just let the buns out for the day — and it appears as though Tanger is hiccuping?

Is this bad?  Or can it signify anything?  I’ve seen him do it a few other times too.  He’ll stand still for a few minutes while he does it and then it goes away and he’s back to binkying and zooming all over the place.   Typical Tan.

Leopold has had the hiccups before. As far as I know, it isn’t anything serious.

It was soooo cute! But at the same time….. I felt so bad for him! It was like he was like bouncing along the ground!

I’ve seen Dexter do the same thing. They never last long either.

Hiccuping, at least in humans, is caused by either swallowing too much air, or by something irritating the esophagus. I would imagine its the same in BunBuns. It shouldn’t be a problem unless they last a long time, or they get them frequently.

I’ve seen Apollo hiccup before, just after he rushed down his pellets. Silly bun gave me quite a fright. But I just sat and watched him and within 2 minutes, they’d gone!

Bindi hiccups sometimes. He lays down and hic hic hic. He looks super annoyed while he’s hiccuping. I keep telling him to not eat so fast!

Hahahah! I’m such a worrywart with the bunnies!

But Tanger is the ONLY one I’ve ever seen do it so I began to imagine all sorts of crazy things. I was hoping it wasn’t something like sneezing. I would imagine sneezing to be normal for a bunny but then I learned it can signal something wrong!

I should be lucky I haven’t had any sick bunnies yet — instead I’m always looking for it! :X Oy vey.

Groucho gets the hiccups every once in a great while, but there was a time when he first got sick that it was more so. the vet thinks it was just because of his sneezing and the intake or lack there of of breathe. So maybe Tanger was binkying or doing more zoomies and got out of breathe for a second then hiccuped. And the breathe thing would make sense too with other people who said their buns get them if they eat too fast cause that effects breathing rate as well. Just a guess, but maybe a bad one, lol.

I have like a 30 sec. video of Groucho when he was hiccuping, it’s cute! But you feel so bad cause you don’t know how to help!

Lola gets the hiccups some times. As far as i can tell its nothing serious it just lasts a few minutes.
