I was thinking of building a great outdoor run for thumper. The area on the Side of my house is very spacious and covered with smooth gravel. There’s some dandelions back there, and clover too. ( not sprayed at all ) any ideas on toys or things that a bunny would like to make it more fun? Also I need an idea for a durable way to close of the area? I tried a 3 foot tall sheet of heavy plywood but Thumper jumped over it!

As I don’t let any of my buns go outside, I’m pretty useless here!

BUT I wanted to point out that you said Thumper jumped over it? When having an outdoor pen, I really think you should have a top over it. Wild animals, dogs in the neighborhood, ect. — all of those things can EASILY get over a fence and harm your little buddy before you even have a chance to stop it.

Yeah you’re right that’s a good idea. Although I always supervise thumper outside I should probably do that

Also, I just read toys/things to use to make it more fun. Lots of cardboard things to jump on and hide in are probably a good idea and usually keep buns occupied. Maybe you could make a cardboard tunnel out of boxes OR buy one of the ones they have in the BB store. I think they’re pretty cheap too. Sticks are always fun for buns to chew on — I know my buns go crazy just chewing/tearing sticks apart. Maybe throw a towel in there for him to dig in, push on, and throw around? As well as to lay on!

one suggestion for the top, you can use mesh, netting, or chicken wire
