  Hey everyone! My husband and I are in the “trial” period of adopting a female rabbit! We have 1 cat, and one foster kitten…so far everyone is getting along, though we’ve only had the rabbit for a little over a day now.
  
  We’re pretty sure the rabbit is a dutch mix, though not positive (if you have any ideas, feel free to share). We’re currently living in Okinawa, Japan and the rescue society we’re adopting from is a Foster Only society (so, no actual shelter). I do a lot of foster care for them. My family owned rabbits when I was little, so it’s nice to have one again! She’s very sweet and loving, and she’s even flopped a few times! She really likes to boss Noble (My cat) around. I think they’re going to be buddies eventually!

  Your cat is beautiful and the name noble definitly fits her! And the bunny is Gorgeous Does she have a name yet?

  Thank you! Noble was born in our home (we fostered his mother), so he’s quite spoiled! He doesn’t realize he has two kitty sisters back in the states (living with my parents). He’s in for a shock
  
  Yes! The rabbit’s name is Rhosgobel (Rose-go-bell), after the place where Radagast (one of the wizards of Middle-earth…) lived. In the movie “The Hobbit” he has “Rhosgobel” rabbits. So we thought it fit! (and I’m a Tolkien nerd!) I’m guessing she’s around 2 years of age, and NOT spayed…so we’re going to get that taken care of relatively soon.

  Hmm, she looks more harlequin to me than dutch! Her markings seem more similar to such.

  Also, that is one dignified kitty.
  I think your rabbit is mix, and I agree with tanlover. I think he’s got a bit of harlequin coloring.

  Thank you! I couldn’t resist when I saw her…so precious and sweet. We’re nicknaming her Rosey ( I call her wabbit sometimes, too…just because it’s fun to say, lol!), but we both really love the name Rhosgobel so we’ve been using it the most.
  
  I’m going to start her on a schedule fairly soon. We’re still in the process of getting all of her belongings…we only just got her cage last night. We let her camp out in the bathroom the first night and blocked off certain areas. Apparently her original owner has a playpen and a rabbit house as well, so I’m looking forward to getting those for her! She’s been getting pushy about being let out to wander…she stands up and SHOVES on the cage door when I come over to open it up to pet her, feed her, or let her out! I’m also pretty sure I heard her purring yesterday….I’m not positive though, since it was so quiet. I felt her jaw/teeth kind of moving/vibrating kind of.

  OMG! I was living in Okinawa for 3 years (my dad was in the Marines and recently retired). My mom is also full Japanese It has been a year since I was last there though

  That’s awesome, Mocha! We’ve been here for 2! We’re on Kadena. We have about 10 months left here…I LOVE this little island, but I’m ready to go somewhere else…I have a gypsy soul, lol!

  LOL! I was on Camp Courtney, but went to school on Kadena. It is such a huuuge base compared to Courtney!
  I really wanted to leave Oki when I was there but now I want to go back, lol

  That’s awesome! I haven’t been to Courtney yet! I keep meaning to go…I’ve been to every other base pretty much and all over the island (I’m a photographer, so I go on location quite a bit!) You probably left at a good time….there’s been of US forces messing relations up around here…curfews are even stricter now (though they only really effect Active Duty). There’s even been some talk of complete lockdown. :/
  
  My dad was Army and retired at Ft. Hood…Kadena is TINY compared to that place, lol!
