I’ve only had my bunny a little over a week, so I’m still getting used to whats normal and whats not. When she lays down, she just falls over. Is this normal? It also looks like her heart beats fast when she lays down, almost like she’s panting. She always does both these things though and never seems like she’s hurting.

Does she fall over or does she turn her head sideways and flop down? The latter–the infamous “flop” is very, very normal and the sign of a happy, relaxed bun. As far as the heart beat/breath rate thing, Nibs looks like his breathing speeds up for a bit following a flop. Must be the heavy exertion of the patented “drama queen flop” that he does.

ETA: this YouTube video shows what flopping looks like.  The heavy breathing could also be because of activity immediately preceding the floppage. bunny flops

That’s what we call a “Flop”.
