Just moved daisy inside, but she won’t eat or drink. She looks scared , What should I do?

She’s probably uncertain of her new habitat. Leave her alone with hay, some vegetables (not too much if she’s already had a lot today!) and fresh water and don’t disturb her! She’ll need time to adjust on her own, but if she hasn’t eaten anything by tomorrow, contact your vet and let us know!

Daisy also has not moved. I havw this lid that covers 3/5 of it, and she won’t move when it is on. I HAVE to keep it on durring the night or she will jump out.

Just give her some time. Keep things quiet and lights low and make sure she has access to water, food, hay etc and ignore her or sit quietly nearby with a book or magazine. She’ll adjust quickly and want to explore but it sounds like she’s a little scared right now.

She’s keeping her in a toybox (lid 3/4 over it) until the pen arrives.

She is in a plastic toy box , but the lid is not air tight, there is a inch of spacing all around rhe lid, rightnow there it about a foot not being covered

That does not sound at all like an acceptable house for a rabbit in my opinion.

That really isn’t a good enclosure for a bunny. I know that some people had said that bringing her in was more important that what she would be living in, but that just doesn’t seem safe to me. There isn’t much air ventilation. You mentioned above that you will buy a pen when you have the money to get one, but I remember in another post of yours that you said that you had $50 to get a pen and that you were paying for it. Has that situation changed? Maybe there is a way for you to bunny proof your room and have her free range until you can get the pen? Or like some people had suggested, use a bathroom? Have you tried showing your parents this forum and your threads, maybe they will let you temporarily house her in a bathroom?

You could also bring her hutch inside. My mom and I carried one up a flight of stairs and through a messy hallway once, just so long as someone helps it should be fine

oh okay i get it now. i’m glad she’s inside, but how long until you switch her to an xpen? i was one of the people who said to get her inside no matter what she was kept in. however, i was thinking tiny cage, not plastic. if it was a cage the size of that toy box, it would be undersized but okay for temporary living. this i wouldn’t keep her in because in order to give her air you have to open the top, which risks her jumping out.
