Hazel Jane McBunny and I have known each other for the last 8 years.  In late October and through November she was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection, anemia, stasis, and the possibility of a larger underlying problem like lymphoma.  We got into her daily routine of antibiotics, Metacam, and Critical Care.  She took her medication happily, and did not complain through the whole time that was sick (she was even a great patient at the vet!)

Sadly, on Monday of this week she lost her fight against her illness and peacefully passed away in our home, surrounded by love from both human and feline friends alike.

This has been a tough week, and there is definitely a void in our home without our bunny friend.  It helps to know that she will be greeted by her other furry friends on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.  Much love, my little bunny friend <3

I’m so sorry that Hazel has passed. She sounds like she was a fighter and was lucky to have you to comfort and care for her.

It’s so hard to lose our seniors. Hugs to you.

I am so sorry to you! I know well what it feels like to have a empty space in your home. She sounds like she lived a great 8 years.

I’m sorry I didn’t read this until today, but please accept my condolences. I know that you will be missing Hazel right now, but she was very loved and had a life of great care in your loving home.

I am so sorry. Such a painful time especially during the holidays. It is obvious that she was loved very much and was taken good care of. She was lucky to have so much love and care around her when it was her time to go.
