Hi all. My bunny, Java, is a big-time thrower. He throws everything – even his pellet bowl. He definitely loves his willow sticks and chews them a lot, but he always throws everything, including those. He even tries to throw my foot when its where he wants to go.

Right now he has a plastic keychain (most likely a baby toy – we got it as a gift when we adopted him), lots of sticks, cardboard pieces, a giant bell that he sometimes tries to throw and push, and a long wooden bird toy. He tries to throw it, but it’s pretty heavy. We’re probably going to find a baby rattle or something that he could throw. He really likes rattling stuff, more than bells and ringing toys.

Any ideas on some good toys that he’d enjoy throwing?

Loki is a thrower too, I got some big pet balls that have a lot of holes in them and a bell in the middle, he loves picking that up and throwing it around… that and likes moving his litter tray around

Buckley isn’t a huge thrower but he will ocassionally pick up his paper cup and throw it. There’s a never supply of these from either a coffee shop or the pic ‘n’ mix counters (if you have them), I also put treats in it and put it upright on the floor and am trying to teach Buckley to knock it over and get the treat. Unfortunately he knocks it over and it falls away from him and then he can’t work out to go round the other end of the cup to retrieve his treat, he just by-passes that bit and comes straight to me for the treat!!

But I love watching rabbits throw toys around, it’s such a joy! x
