I decided to go ahead and make a thread to see what breed Duchess is, or what you think she is! I was told by the shelter she was a dutch mix, but that’s pretty much proven wrong since she’s all black except for her front paws and nose. Although, if she is mixed is there a possibility that she just got the fur traits of the parent who was not dutch? Ahh well, oh and maybe I should mention that she has a white undercoat, I’m not sure if that matters any…. Anyhow, here’s a few photos.

I think she is some kind of mix. She’s beautiful and in my opinion, mixes rock!

Yeah, she’s for sure a mix. Both her and Nala are mixes, and I love both of them equally, I was just curious to see what everyone else thought.  I’m not too good with telling different breeds apart unless they’re really common and have distinct features. But whatever breed she is, she has a great personality and is really lovey dovey, and I’m glad I was able to give her (and Nala) a home, especially since I didn’t break her and Nala up, they were brought in together and if someone else adopted them, they would have probably gone to two different homes, they both seemed to be much happier when we put them back together (They was separated for about a month because Duchess had some tummy problems, and they just didn’t bother putting them back together.)

I am loving the inquisitive head tilt in the last photo, BunnyDaddy. So glad you could keep the two of them together!

I agree with K&K, she has the shape of a dutch. She’s super stunning! Love the little white nose and foot tip! That last pic is full of disapproval and adorable.

Her head reminds me of a rex, though her fur isn’t rexy, so definitely a mix. Maybe rex x dutch?
