I have a bonded pair that is beyong picky. The only greens they will eat are kale, parsley, basil and dandelion greens. Obviously they can’t eat the same thing night after night. I am at a complete loss as to what to do. I am tired of offering greens only to waste them by throwing them out. They eat hay and limited (about 1/4 cup, shared) pellets without any problem. Any suggestions? And yes, they have been checked by a vet and are perfect health.

I wouldn’t worry too much, that’s a pretty good variety of greens. If you are introducing new types, try offering it, taking it away and offering it and taking it away. Sometimes they need to have the offer several times before they’ll get into something.

Funny thing is they are both rescued and both of them use to gobble up no matter what I gave them. Now they are refusing any type of lettuce. I wish I could find basil in larger quantities. They also use to love cilantro, but that is a thing of the past too. They eat red pepper, carrots, cucumber and broccoli with out a problem. Oh and they love their small serving of fruit. I have 2 other bunnies that are not picky at all.

You could buy a basil plant if you have a good sunny place for it Then you’d have basil all the time. Try dill too! My picky boy loooves his dill. But hates most other lettuce these days, except curly endive and parsley.

Are you able to find dill easily? I found a super small container at Wal Mart for $2.88. They loved it. That is another herb that is hard to find. I bought a few live basil plants at Sprouts that were suppose to grow in water, but I managed to kill them.
