Our baby bunny Bandy, Holland Lop:

We just got him out for the first time today because we were gone all day. His bottom is all wet and we don’t know why but once I had a guinea pig pass away after we found that her underside was wet. We never figured out what was going on with her. I am worried about Bandy and about Scottie too because I left them together all day so that they wouldn’t be alone.

Also I should have mentioned that we think it may be pee or diarrhea but just really don’t know. HIs genitals don’t look right now that I am really looking, and his cage is large and very clean but he chooses to lay in his litter pan ALL the time so I don’t know if that got him wet or made him sick. He was my husbands Christmas present (early) and they adore each other and he was actually picked out because he looked just like the bunny my husband had when we met. Like, just like him and my husband was devastated when that bunny passed and as happy as he is with this one I just can’t bear to think about anything happening to our sweet little Bandy!!

I agree with MB, a vet check should be a priority and if your bun gets worse if you can’t find a rabbit savvy vet in your area find any vet who is willing to phone consult with an exotic specialist.

I had to take him to a regular vet because there are none in our area who see rabbits except one and they don’t see them often and I don’t feel like they know much about rabbits. He didn’t think there was a problem but I still feel the need to take him to someone else..

Yeah any vet is better than nothing
As background-what is the bunnies diet and how long have you had him? Has his behaviour changed of late?

KNK, Good point about the diet.
Is he getting unlimited hay CaroDek ? Hay is extremely important for their diet, it should make up 80% of their food.
