Some of my bunnys pee is clear but then it has this
White residue? It’s not sticky when it dries its kind of chalky
She’s eating oxbow alfalfa for young rabbits and alfalfa hay.
I know alfalfa is a lot of calcium but she loves it she’s always
Eating a lot. I have seen her drink water but maybe she’s not
Having enough?! She’s a happy bunny and does sleep a lot
but she hasn’t been acting super weird. I only noticed
Because she missed her litter box and I seen the white.
Im so worried! Please help. I attached a picture

To me – that sounds and looks completely normal. It looks like she peed on a microfiber couch maybe? I say this because when Lola was going through bunny puberty she would pee on the couch and that was exactly what it would look like…I think it’s because bunny urine can be milky and some of it couldn’t go through the fibers and the white looking stuff would stick to the surface.

If you are really concerned, I would take her to the vet. It’s never a bad thing and you could even discuss with the vet possibly getting her fixed in the future. It makes litter training 10000000 times easier and reduces their risk of cancer.

Bunnies will urinate out any excess calcium. That part is normal. Once your bunny switches from Alfalfa, you may find that that lessens or disappears for the most part.

However, some bunnies do have an issue with processing calcium, and that can lead to thicker white sludge that can cause problems. My bunny Jack used to have white in his urine every once in awhile, but then it worsened with age and it was only later on that we had to deal with some more serious related health issues. Just keep an eye on it and let if it doesn’t change in time with a well-hydrated non-alfalfa diet (age appropriate of course), then discuss with your rabbit-savvy vet. .
