I’m new to this forum, and hoping someone can help me

My bunny is about 6 months old, and after my wife changed the shavings last night out bunny started acting strange.

First it looked as if she couldn’t pick up her head, and was only moving around backwards. then about 10 minutes later she went back to normal. this went on for a few hours before we went to bed.

this morning she is basically limp, and randomly kicks her rear legs. She eats if i put food near her mouth, and will drink as well, but otherwise she isn’t moving, and just lays there as you can see in the pic i’m posting below(taken a few minutes ago)

You need to get her to a vet as soon as possible. We really can have no way of knowing and definitely cannot make a diagnosis.

Please get her to a vet and keep us updated on what the vet says. She’s a lovely little rabbit.

i called my vet that i use for my dog, and they don’t handle rabbits so they passed me to another place that says the vet that handles rabbits won’t be in until tomorrow afternoon

You could ask the vet office that see’s rabbits if they can refer you to someone to see today – let them know about the situation with your rabbit.

Yes, definitely try to find a vet today – the symptoms sound very serious. I hope she’s ok.

took her to the vet, said there was nothing they could do as it seemed to be a neurological issue, and they put her to sleep.

Oh no, I’m so sorry. That is so sad. She was lucky to have someone who cared about her as much as you did.
