I adopted a 2 month old holland lop about a week ago who seems to think my bed is his litter box. The first couple days he was with me he was using his litter box and his old owners had said that he is litter box trained, but ever since he got onto my bed yesterday he won’t use his litter box and is pooping on my bed, and he peed on my big duvet twice last night when I was sleeping. I don’t like to keep him caged up but I don’t like sleeping in his poo either… Everytime he poops on my bed I pick him up and put him into his litterbox with his poo, but he just hops back out and onto my bed again, and poops again! How can I get him to use his litter box again?!

The bed smells too much like you and he is trying to change that. Are you able to corral him with an xpen at night so he can’t get on your bed?

You may just have to keep him x-penned up when you go to sleep until he’s neutered. He definitely is sounding pretty territorial about that bed!

This is a pretty common problem. Here’s a link to a previous thread:

You can also do a Forum Search (type in something like “Bed Pooping” ) for more threads on this topic.
